J’ai besoin d’une faveur…

I interrupt the little loving my family theme, that I’ve got going on, to talk about a real life quandary, for a bit…
I TOTALLY need your help… your friend’s help… pretty much anyone’s help.
I am throwing my daughter an Evening in Paris themed birthday party. I have some GREAT ideas, and a fairly skeletal frame of how it will all pan out… The problem is that I’m a total detailed person and, well, I’m running out of time. That, and, well, my twelfth birthday Parisian extravaganza’ budget is on that of the dwindling side…
Here’s where you come in:
– have a memory of some specific thing/time in Paris? I absolutely want to hear it! Even if it feels irrelevant.
– have a project or know of a project to link to, that could fall within the inexpensive and Parisian theme? I want the link!
– suggestions? ideas? tips?
– Favorite Parisian things?
– Parisian foods?
– Parisian pastimes?
Pretty much, help?!?!? Please…
In return, i will pick one lucky contributor, from the comments, a little gift. Better yet, I will let Genny choose the winner randomly since it’s for her birthday, on March 14th, and we will Vlog the announcement that morning… So please, please, please, please, please {P-L-E-A-S-E} help…

  1. When I think of a paris themed birthday party I think of baby pink black and white. You could serve sparkling grape juice, cookies or pastries with pink icing, black table covers with pink candies sprinkled all over them, pink white and black balloons are always an inexpensive way to decorate.Black white and pink plates and napkinsFor the loot bags you could do white paper bags with a personalized name tag. You could probably get a border stamp from a scrapbooking store (I rent mine) and do black ink border on pink cardstock and write their name on it.Not sure for activites. Maybe fashion show, but is that was 12y/o's want to do? Feather boa's would be cute.Hope that helps!

  2. Scavenger hunt with parisian things? Cut out pictures of different parisian things then put them places around your house or outside and they have to find them. Two or three teams would be fun.Another team game – get a bunch of popsicle sticks from a craft store and teams have to build an eiffel tower as quickly as possible. You know the bridal shower toilet paper wedding gown game? Do it like a 'project runway' sort of thing. Two or three teams o french designers have to come up with a toilet paper gown. The model has to walk down the runway.

  3. Oh my gosh, I can't wait to help with this! I can't believe it's been 3 years since our Paris trip… I sill remember everything so clearly. Let me see what I can do!

  4. I'll tell you about the French Bistro party that we just did. Give me a call when you get a chance. I've wanted to call you several times but I know how busy you are…so…you call me! ;)Oh, and I bought the pans to do the vertical layers cake if you still want that.
