Tiny bits of joy…

Amidst the insanity, (a.k.a. August) here at Chez’ Wagner, I was contacted by a happy little company called Tiny Prints.
As I’ve confessed before- I’m a control freak kinda girl- and once we passed that July hump, my brain starts short circuiting at the panic that *Cue slasher film music here* Christmas is merely 147 days away

It was during one such particular fit that their petition, for a product review, was received.
I’m telling you now, it was divine intervention.
Why? you ask.
Well, because anyone who knows me also knows that nothing calms my nerves (broken heart, trivial illnesses, jaded spirit, bad day infected, *insert pretty much anything right here*_____) like paper.
Even spelling it out here, P-A-P-E-R.
Ahhh, such a soothing effect…

HOWEVER, I must also point out that I’m a complete paper snob. (yes, and an ice cream snob, but that is an entirely different post all together! Focus, please!)

I’d never heard of their company, so naturally, I went straight to their website.

First off, let me say- they have incredibly charming stuff! I was in virtual paper heaven! I asked myself, honestly, what I would order from them- and honestly, I probably wouldn’t have… Maybe my readers are less anal than I am, maybe they have different expectations for invitations, photo cards and their Christmas greetings.
As far as I’m concerned, I take my senses of touch and smell very seriously.
If I’m going to send out any sort of greeting to someone I care about, I need to know how it feels in my own hands. I need to know that the money I’m spending isn’t for light weight card stock. I need to know that, when they open their envelope- the incredibly uplifting smell of card stock (yes, I am also a paper nerd) triggers their own senses to evoke feelings of warmth and love. (If you are a book lover who becomes alive the second you walk into a bookstore and inhale, then you know exactly what I’m talking about! If you aren’t, then keep reading. I promise my delusional behavior is coming to an end.)

So, last friday my sample package from Tiny Prints arrived. The sheer joy of the impending paper goodness had me ripping it open like a mad woman. Genny laughed, and NOT in a My Mom is So Cool, sort of way… whatever.
She’ll get it some day. I hope…

And, oh my gosh
I love their stuff! (and this assessment isn’t solely based on their sweet smelling papery goodness.) Though I had pretty much concreted my mind into believing I would be making my own holiday cards, this year, I’m now wavering a bit. In fact, after looking (again) at their designs (and now knowing that their products are printed on high quality card stock) I’m pretty convinced of where our holiday cards are coming from…
Christmas Cards {Can you believe how beautiful these designs are? }
Holiday Cards
Holiday Invitations {Is it a little over the top to begin my Christmas party planning right this second?}

Of course, to convince Chw… hmm.

So, now that we’ve surely shared a truly beautiful connection, (whether due to our shared paper love or maniac-like anal tendencies) go check them out and then come back and let me know what you think! Better yet, if you can guess my three favorites (one from each section), I may even throw in a prize…

  1. Was glad to re-find you! And boy, do I relate to your post about paper! I knew just what you were talking about…I love it too…the smell, the feel of it under my fingers..ahem…nice to know I’m not the only one!!Gonna check out that website too!

  2. I drooled over this website when I was searching for baby announcements earlier this year – they have such cute designs. I’m glad they could send you some samples to give you that needed fix!

  3. I totally get your love of paper, and you couldn’t have compaired it better! . . . I inhale deeply when I enter bookstores, walk slowly, touching as many as I can. I love both new and used . . . used are so fascinating to me to imagine who, where, what, why, about the previous readers.I’m admitting now that I am too lazy to make my own Christmas cards, I will have to check out this site, thanks!

  4. It’s NEVER too early to start planning your Christmas cards. I had a moment the other day where I freaked out because I hadn’t done anything yet. Thanks for pointing this out. I can’t wait to take a look at their stuff!

  5. Oh my! I love paper too! I got so wrapped in looking at the stuff on that site that I forgot to try to pick your three favorites, but I will say the Winter Berries holiday invitation looks like something you might like!? right? wrong? hmmmmAnd — I am already starting to plan gifts and party menus — be sure to check my blog later this week for my post on this very thing. But, you and I are a lot alike when it comes to list-making and planning although we may be a rare breed

  6. They do have cute stuff! Do you know how many years it’s been since I was organized enough to get Christmas cards out. I’m such a slacker.

  7. i love it! I get two “It’s never to late to plans” and then DFTF says she doesn’t send cards… This is why the blogging community rocks! everyone is so different…

  8. I made my own Christmas cards last year and it was so tme consuming. I am always on the look out for some great paper product so I am off to check it out.

  9. I will NOT think about Christmas. I will NOT think about Christmas. But those cards look so cute! And, I said that was exactly what I wanted to do this year…. Wait! I will NOT think about Christmas!You are SO on my list for getting me to think about Christmas.

  10. I. LOVE. PAPER. I do.:)And my good friend Missy Shell above is well known for having her cards done and ready to go for mailing early. She is amazing.

  11. I totally get the whole paper smell thing and am immediately entranced when entering a bookstore or a scrapbook store, etc. Just thinking about it now makes me giddy! I could also look at and touch every book, piece of paper, card stock, etc. in every book/craft/scrapbook store for hours. That would be the perfect day!I’m going to rush right over and check out this place you speak of – it sounds yummy!

  12. I LOVE paper! I love the smell and feel more than anything! Gonna go check these out and see if I can’t convince hubby that we really do need some! LOL!
