Finding You… {Giveaway}

My passport remains intact, yet unstamped.

If you’re curious, I’m super sad about this…

Whenever someone mentions the topic of adventure, I shrink a little. I’ve never been anywhere, I think. I’m wrong, of course. I’ve been all over this North American landmass I call home. I’ve done a hundred different road trips, and because I LOVE the movie Elizabethtown, I’m pretty great at making sure road trips are memorable and intentional.

I’ve had exciting flights to west coast beaches and whimsical days in some of our biggest cities.

In the end, I think adventure is either in us or it isn’t. If life has made it so that we haven’t been able to get passport stamps- that’s ok. Adventure is still ours for the taking!

This past year, as we’ve been stuck at home we have re-fallen in love with the adventure we find in movies and books, and honestly, I love that. Speaking of that, I have an amazing trailer for you!

FINDING YOU is an inspirational romantic drama full of heart and humor about finding the strength to be true to oneself.  After an ill-fated audition at a prestigious New York music conservatory, violinist Finley Sinclair (Rose Reid) travels to an Irish coastal village to begin her semester studying abroad. At the B&B run by her host family, she encounters gregarious and persistent heartthrob movie star Beckett Rush (Jedidiah Goodacre), who is there to film another installment of his medieval fantasy-adventure franchise. As romance sparks between the unlikely pair, Beckett ignites a journey of discovery for Finley that transforms her heart, her music, and her outlook on life. In turn, Finley emboldens Beckett to reach beyond his teen-idol image and pursue his true passion.  But when forces surrounding Beckett’s stardom threaten to crush their dreams, Finley must decide what she is willing to risk for love.

  1. This looks like a lovely, touching movie. I’ll have to check it out. I think the most adventurous thing I’ve done is landing in northern Poland with no plan to make my connecting flight from Kaliningrad to Moscow. I ended up doing an overland crossing on a bus where I was the only non-Russian. Everyone was very nice to me and some even bought me strawberries when we stopped at a roadside stand. The route was beautiful and we passed picturesque farms and made careful turns through postcard perfect towns. At the end of the trip I received a book from one passenger and assistance with my taxi from another. I am glad I took the long way

  2. We drove to from Erie to Loudon TN to visit friends with a 4 year old and a 10 week old baby. We forgot the ‘baby box’ and the baby had to be swaddled and laid on a towel on the floor since he was too young for a regular mattress. The trip went went well considering all the stops for feedings and changings and potty breaks. But the baby was over it on the way home and cried because he wanted to be held and he wanted to be dry (and he managed to fill a diaper every hour or 2 on that drive). On recent trip to WV we discovered that we can still remember the random parking lots, rest stops, overlooks (and even a post office) where stopped for feedings and diaper changes.

  3. I love adventures. My favorite is taking four teenage boys to the National Seashore on the tip of Cape Cod, watching seals watch us, lighting a campfire, getting busted by the cops for doing so, sleeping in the car in a random parking lot, and zipping to watch a storm roil in with the sunrise. Here’s to more adventures ahead.
